Post Production Editing

1. After recording my advert I put my audio into Reaper. I then started to edit the recording. My recording is roughly 34-36 seconds long after cutting parts out of it , to make it sound better.

2. I then put my music into Reaper and started to place my music with my recording. The music I was having for my advert was the original Pokémon theme song.

3. After putting my music into reaper with my recording , this is how I decided to have it placed. I chose this so the music played slightly after the voice actor started speaking.

4. When having everything edited and placed the way I wanted to, I put my sound effects into reaper aswell. The sound effect I was using for a small part of my advert was a chistmas sleigh bell sound effect , because my advert is based around christmas time.

5. This is how I had my sound effect, recording and music placed, in order for the sound effect to play before anything else. This set the Christmas mood for my advert , before the voice actor even started talking.

6. I then had to start listening to all of my audio together , and started cutting my sound effect down because it was a large file and I only needed a small part of it.

7. This is what the project looked like after I had now cut down my sound effect ,aswell as the audio.

8. After listening to what I had produced so far I decided that I wanted to cut the smallest part of the Pokémon theme song off because it was slightly too long, but then I still wanted the music to play until the end of the voice actor speaking and this is what it looked like.

9. I then decided to cut more of the sleigh bell sound effect off , just enough for it to play before the music for my advert started to play, and at the beginning of my advert, the sound effect is played roughly for 6 seconds during my advert.

10. This what my final editing of my advert looks like , after cutting and placing everything in the way I wanted , for it to sound professional.
