Possible Improvements

Given more time, this powerpointwill highlight a few areas I think I

could further improve my products.

Front Cover

I would align the text down here better so that it followed the curve of the necklace more accurately and wasn't as close to the end of the page. This would hopefully of made the cover look even more professional.

The editing of the ‘Glastonbury’ and ‘Leeds festival’ logos could be improved. The quality of the selection process in Photoshop is visible when zoomed in significantly.

I would reduce the size of the slogan visible on the front page. This is because I after further looking at conventional magazine slogans, I find they are more subtle and less emphasised.

I would look to alter the models eyes in particular, and give them a slightly improved level of detail. Seeing more the eye details, I believe, would allow for a better relationship to be established between the magazine and reader.

Contents Page

The photo of my cover star could be more interesting and look less like a passport photo.

The brightness could have been reduced for this image to show a greater details to the facial expressions – this may also be impacted by the lighting which appears inconsistent throughout the photo.

A more expressive look could of helped capture the audiences interest. The background, although colourful, isn't particularly interesting and the photo as a whole lacks particular quality.

I may have included more stories that where better linked to the features under the ‘plus’ symbol on my front cover – this would have created a greater fluency between my 3 products.

Perhaps the background colours of the ‘plus panel’ and ‘subscribe panel’ could be more inventive or diver from one and other. The two black boxes so close together could arguably make the whole page less interesting and professional.

Double Page Spread

A fault in Photoshop or possibly user error resulted in a mysterious transparent hole in the middle of my image. Given more time, I would have been able to change the photo or fix the problem.

The writing that is shaped into a circle does not quite line up with the shape of the plug itself. Given more time, I could have further mastered how to perfectly copy the shape of the plug, and make the plug as a whole look very professional.
