What is Political Science?

Political science is the art of governing.

Political science is a process to find out “who gets what, when, how and at whose expense”.

Political science aims to explain the role of politics in people’s lives by examining the policies, process, systems, ideologies and dynamics of all countries and regions of the world. Political science does not only show us the actual working of politics but also the tools and ideas to change it.

Political Science ranks as one of the most popular of all undergraduate

majors, and the most popular social science major in the world. In Europe,

Over 82 % of all graduates in 2008 took 3 or more political science courses

(Eurostat, EU).
