Play a sport that you like and help feed people

in your community.

1. Find a sport or game that you like to play.

2. Organize a tournament or match.

3. Participants pay to play in the tournament.

4. Winners receive the money as a price and donate a portion of the money to a group in their community that is working to end hunger.

HOW IT WORKS

• This works because a lot of people are reluctant to just donate money.

• If participants pay to play, then they won’t feel like they are just giving money away but that they are also doing something they love.

• In addition, many participants will feel good that they are donating money, and having fun.

Effects

Play to Feed will work because it will help relieve people’s hunger.

It will add to to the work on larger organizations like the WFP and the UN.

People will know that there is something they can actually do to help defeat hunger.

GLOBALIZATION EFFECT

This can be done in many different countries.

You can organize tournaments with many different sports.

You could also just organize an event, like a skateboarding or snowboarding competition between friends.

It will turn more people into heroes.
