1. PLANNING FOR LEARNING PRESENTATION Mackenzie Now Educational
Technology SS 14 Susan Grasso
2. LESSON PLANNING TOPIC The topic for this lesson planning
presentation will be biological organization. Multicellular
organisms have 5 levels of complexity that all start with the
simple cell.
3. LEARNING OBJECTIVES Students will describe the big idea of
the one of the biological organization using a textbook and create
a model in groups of four. Students will support the significance
of the one of the biological organization using a website and
create a model in groups of four.
4. LEARNING MODEL: This project is going to be both a
collaborative and a hands on activity. This project will focus more
on the learning model of collaborative education part though.
5. METHODS: Students will create a cubed model demonstrating
important facts and information on their level of organization that
they were given which could be (cell, tissue, organ, organ system,
organism, population,community,ecosystem, biosphere).
6. TECHNOLOGY INTEGRATION http://www.easel.ly/ I would start
class out with an infographic that I created on easel.ly. I would
put little info on this but put good enough pictures for the
students to understand what they are learning about in each level
of organization. The students are to research most of the
information on their own after a guided introduction into the
project. https://www.superteachertools.net/# I would use this
website to generate students into groups and also to put up a
countdown so that the students can see how long they have to
present.
7. CONCLUSION Reflection on all my choices for this lesson
planning project.
