• It is located in the Italian town of Pisa, one of the most visited European cities.
When was the tower built?
• The construction of Tower of Pisa began in 1173 and was completed in the 14th century, in 1399.
Who built the tower?• The real identity of Tower of Pisa’s architects is a
mystery.• It is considered that the architects and engineers
who designed the leaning Tower of Pisa are: Bonanno Pisano, Gherardo di Gherardo, Giovanni Pisano, Giovanni di Simone.
Why does the Tower of Pisa lean?
• The leaning of the Tower of Pisa started in 1173, when construction began.
• Because the soft ground, it had begun to lean more and more.

• The height of the tower is 55.86 metres from the ground on the low side and 56.67 m on the high side.
