Cruz, Laguna 2015 ESP and AP Departments GAD Seminar Gender and Development (GAD) approach is a way of determining how best to structure development projects and programs based on analysis of gender relationship. The GAD approach was developed in the1980’s as an alternative to the Women in Development (WID) focus. GAD is concerned with women as well as with the social construction of gender and the assignment of specific roles, responsibilities and expectations to men and women. On May 06, 2015, the Gender Awareness and Development (GAD) Seminar of ESP and AP Departments with the theme “KAPamilya ESPesyal Ka! Sa Pananagutan at Responsibilidad, May Kabalikat Ka.” was conducted at Villa Escudero Plantations, Tiaong, Quezon. A registration for teacher participants started at around 7:30 in the morning, followed by an opening program. The National Anthem was led by Ms. Reziel S. Ramirez, Teacher III of AP Department and a prayer led by Ms. Laarni M. Cruz, Master Teacher I of AP Department. A Documentation Narrative: Mr. Lemuel B. Estrada Photographs: Ms. May Ann P. Ariola

2015 ESP and AP Departments GAD Seminar

Gender and Development (GAD) approach is a way of determining how best to structure

development projects and programs based on analysis of gender relationship. The GAD approach was

discussed by Ms. Lorelyn C. Minon, HT VI of AP Department, Odon A. Sulla, Master Teacher I of AP

Department and Ms. Nancy S. Bagayan, Teacher I of ESP Department. It was then tailed by a lecture on

Duties and Responsibilities of a Professional Teacher by Mr. Arthur Robert P. Limongco, Master Teacher

I of AP Department.

After a quick break, a Team Building was spearheaded by Mr. Arnel P. Sumague, Ms. Carla Marie

V. Aviles, Mr. Jeric C. Valenzuela and Mr. Mark Anthony S. Paloma, Teachers I.
