Design, implementation and performance test of a prepaid energy meter

Introduction

Prepaid energy meter which is based on the concept “Pay first and then use it”.

Prepaid energy meter also reduces the error made by humans while taking readings to a large extent and there is no need to take reading in it.

The prepaid energy meter uses a recharge card which is available in the prepayment electricity vending station.

In our project we are using keypad through which we can done our recharge.

Motivation

Depart. of EEE, IIUC 4

Eliminate the billing delay.

The prepaid energy meter save the man power.

Save electrical power.

Save our money and time.

Objectives

The main objective of our project is to minimise the cost of our

project which we design.

To overcome the problems or error in meter reading.

To overcome in the problems of traditional billing systems this

project is designed.

To reduce the loss of power and revenue.

ConclusionIn this our report it is intended to present an overview of prepaid energy meter,

which can control the usage of electricity on consumer side to avoid wastage of power.

Prepaid energy meter is a concept to minimize the Electricity theft with a cost efficient manner.

In Bangladesh and other Asian country peoples are using more post-paid energy meter so here we are courage to peoples about the prepaid energy meter.
