I am a Year 13 A-Level, Media Studies student and for my coursework I am creating a short film around my dogs life. Your veterinary centre is an ideal location, not only because my own family dog is one of your patients, but it fits perfectly with my films narrative. I will only film the outside of your premises with the aim of a wide shot of my characters entering and leaving; this will also avoid distractions for your employees. The filming will occur during daytime/afternoon hours, will take a maximum of 45 minutes and will not obscure any daily running of your business. The short film will be premiered at a showing at Bridgwater College where multiple film directors will be in the crowd. Depending on the outcome of my short film, it may also be entered into various film festivals across the country. I will give your business a credit in my short film.

RE: PERMISSION TO FILM

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to you to ask for your permission to film outside your premises. I am a Year 13 A-Level, Media Studies student and for my coursework I am creating a short film around my dogs life.

Your veterinary centre is an ideal location, not only because my own family dog is one of your pa-tients, but it fits perfectly with my films narrative.

I will only film the outside of your premises with the aim of a wide shot of my characters entering and leaving; this will also avoid distractions for your employees. The filming will occur during day-time/afternoon hours, will take a maximum of 45 minutes and will not obscure any daily running of your business.

The short film will be premiered at a showing at Bridgwater College where multiple film directors will be in the crowd. Depending on the outcome of my short film, it may also be entered into vari-ous film festivals across the country. I will give your business a credit in my short film.

I would greatly appreciate your permission to be able to involve you with my film, if you are able to grant me the requested permission, please sign the permission agreement below.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Yours faithfully,

Daisy Newman (Student)

Vanessa Hughes (Media Studies Tutor)
