About the Training Course This 4 day training course will focus on the key technical questions that an FPSO and/or FLNG project team need to address as part of the overall design project. Jean Paul Denise Senior Consultant with particular experience in FPSO, Floating Production Systems & FLNG. Qualified in France in Mechanical Engineering and Fluid Mechanics, and further in Fluid Mechanics and Vibrations in Canada. Started in the Oil & Gas industry in 1975 for the French Petroleum Institute, then in England with Atkins Franlab, Principia, Foster Wheeler, seconded to BP, Fina, Total, etc., finally in France with Technip and Saipem, before joining AOL in 2012.

Paris; Senior Technical Advisor; From October 07: Shtokman Development AG (GAZPROM/ STATOILHYDRO/ TOTAL/) – Study Manager for Conceptual development of the Sthokman field (Barents Sea) with a Floating Production Unit (FPU): icebreaker shaped vessel, internal turret mooring disconnectable in ice conditions, large topsides, seakeeping tests, ice model tests. Specific LNG experience: Involved with the construction of 3 LNG carriers, Tellier, Ben Franklin and El Paso Southern, using the Technigaz Mark I & III insulation techniques with the S.S. primary membrane. In 2006 assisted Singapore Ship Owner IMC to evaluate LNG carrier construction in China. Visited GTT Research Centre near Paris (including a course on the GTT N0 96 double Invar barriers) and LNG carrier Provalys (for Gas de France) under construction in St Nazaire Shipyard. Also assisted IMC in discussions with SBM Offshore for the provision & operation of a new leased FSRU.
