DESCRIPTION
This final project goes along with my unit on Packaging. This explains the final project where students will brainstorm what they would like their final package (1 sports, 1 feature) to look like and write the stories. You could even go so far as to ask them to take the photos, create the graphics, and design the pages. This is meant for print publications but could be adjusted for online journalism as well.

Once you decide on a topic using your maestro sheets you will need to conduct inter-views and research. You will write your story and all the alternative copy you choose to include in your package.
You are encouraged to use the “idea file” you are working on when trying to decide on alternative copy.
You will also need to plan what photos you would use if you were creating this package for a publication.
Remember that you have to create 2 final products, one feature package and one sports package.
Make sure you use rulers and pencils on your sketches. Take your time and make them neat.
