WHAT’S ABOUT PACKAGING?

A coordinated system of preparing goods for transport,warehousing,logistics,sale,container,wrapper etc Also refers to the process of design, evaluation and production of packages.

Types of packaging 1) Consumer packaging :- - Design for consumer - Main emphases is on marketing

2) Industrial Packaging :- - Handling convenience & Protection - Main emphases is on logistics

Function of packaging used in apparel & clothing

To reduce the shipment weight To prevent the garment from dust or odors To prevent garments from acquiring wrinkles or creases To minimize storage space

Protection Distribution Labeling with information Customer convenience Selling Brand promotion & advertizing Maintain quality standards

Importance of packaging

Physical protection : Protection from mechanical shock,vibration,electrostatic discharge compression,temperture.

Barrier protection : A barrier from oxyzen,water vapour,dust etc.

Information transmission : packages & labels communicate how to use,transport,recycle or dispose of the package or product.

Security : Packaging can play an important role in reducing the security risks of shipment.
