Goals for 1st Grade.

To provide a fun learning environment to give you the academic & social skills

to be prepared for second grade.

• Respect teachers & other students• Follow directions• Be prepared• Raise your hand before asking questions• Listen to others when they are speaking

Consequences ofimproper behavior

At the end of each day your child will get a green, yellow, or redcircle placed in their take-home journal.

• Green = Good behavior• Yellow = Student received two warnings due to

their behavior, lose one recess• Red = Student receive more than two warnings

due to behavior, lose 2 recesses and cannot participate in Fun Friday

At the end of each week we will have Fun Friday!

Parent Conferences

Conferences will be held November 6th & 7th from 4 - 7 P.M.

There is a sign up sheet located on the table beside thedoor. Please fill this out tonight. If you cannot make it during these times please see me so we can make otherarrangements.

Homework will be sent home every Tuesday.It is due on Wednesday.

Field Trips

We have many exciting field trips planned for this year!We will visit the fire station and take a ride on the fire truck.We will visit Vander Veer Park and learn more about trees.

This is our main topic in Science this year.
