Several jobs need at least a bachelor's degree, if not a master's or a Ph.D. various employers require a bachelor's degree, it can be bad for your career if you do not obtain one. Why do so many companies want to hire people with degrees?

1. Expertise

Potential employees who earned a bachelor's degree have proved they have enough knowledge in at least one specific field. Several jobs need a specific level of expertise and knowledge, and having a degree shows that the employee is likely to meet their requirement.

2. Perseverance

People who hold bachelor's degrees have demonstrated they are able to commit to a goal and succeed. Employers like to see same attributes in employees

3. Supply and Demand

Those jobs that may have required only a high school diploma in the past may now require a degree, mainly because there are many people with degrees in the labor pool to meet the demand. In the U.S, according to the survey 29 percent of individuals 25 and older have abachelor's degree.

4. Skills

Earning a bachelor's degree indicates that employee is likely to have above-average computational and writing skills.

5. Standards

Some companies are required to meet federal or state standards when hiring people. Often, a degree is required by law. Teachers are most common example of those people who must have a degree; in this type of situation, teachers must have a degree in order to legally teach in astate-funded school.
