island, Daniel

McGinnis noticed a

strange depression

in the ground.

Pirates

were

known to

visit the

island and

Daniel

thought it

could be a

burial

spot.

He gathered two of his friends to

help him dig for treasure.

After every ten

feet of digging,

the boys

encountered a

layer of logs.

They gave up

and went home

empty handed

after digging 30

feet.

8 years later they returned with a team to help them.

Shortly after, water began to fill the hole. Their

attempts to remove the water failed, and the

team gave up.

Since then, many teams

have tried to solve the

mystery of the flooding

money pit.

even

lost their

lives

while

searchin

g for the

answers

profit by

creating a TV

show.

However, despite their efforts,

there are still no answers.

Some say

the pit was

created to

conceal

the

treasure of

pirates.

think that the

Knights

Templar used

it to hide the

Holy Grail.
