This man began hacking under the name "Mendax". He and two other hackers joined to form a group which they named the International Subversives. The Australian Federal Police became aware of this group and set up "Operation Weather" to investigate their hacking. It took three years to bring the case to court, where he was charged with 31 counts of hacking and related crimes. Despite representing hacking as a victimless crime, he nonetheless pleaded guilty to 25 charges of hacking. Six charges were dropped. He was released on bond for good conduct after being fined A$2100.
