• world’s fifth largest mobile carrier:-Bharti Airtel.• Airtel will undertake a global re-branding exercise to launch Airtel in new avatar.• Objective is to give brand a more youthful look.• New look is expected to have a swoosh with word Airtel.• Sunil bharti has spread its operations to Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Africa & Seychelles where it acquired operations of mobile carrier zain.• Thinking is to have a brand that is dynamic with a sense energy & fluidity.

NABARD Sanctions Rs. 82.48 crore for Rural Infra Projects in Himachal Pradesh

• NABARD has sanctioned Rs. 82.48 crore to HP Government for creation of Rural Infrastructure.• Aggregate sanction has increased to Rs. 290.92 crore during 2010-2011 under Tranche xvi of the Rural Infrastructure Development Fund(RIDF) of NABARD.• Amount is sanctioned for Construction of one major rural water supply project, 16 rural water supply project,4 flood protection projects.• About 93967 Residents would be benefited by this project.• NABARD has so far sanctioned Rs. 2982 crore under all tranches of RIDF to the state of which Rs. 1841.47 crore has already been disbursed.

Bird Group to Invest Rs. 2200 in India

• Bird Group – Travel & Hospitality Company• It would Invest Rs.2200 crore on developing six luxury Hotels in India.• It has entered into Joint Venture of 50:50 with Thailand based Dusit Hotels.• It expects to open its first Hotel next year under the brand “Dusit Devarana” which will have capacity of around 800 rooms.

COKE PLANS NEW UNIT TO ENTER PURE JUICES

• Coca cola is forming a new division dedicated to juice for the first time.• Coke has already entered into two new categories: nimbu pani under minute maid & maaza milky delite flavored milk.• It will start selling ready to drink iced tea under Nestea brand in bottles as it extend its global joint venture with nestle beverage.• Priority of coke juice is to enter the pure juice category estimated at Rs. 250 crore and growing at a rapid rate of 20% annually.• It will cater to beat its rivals PepsiCo & Dabur.

Volkswagen to Train Students and Teachers

• Volkswagen would offer training and technical support to automobile Institutes, helping them in producing industry ready professionals.• Company has launched programme- Volkswagen Group Technical Education.• It has tied up with Chandigarh based Rayat Bahra Group.• The programme would focus on modern automobile technology.
