Neighbourhood of Choceň

Běstovice is located in Eastern Bohemia. By the 1st January 2010 the village had 443 inhabitants, 214 men and 229 women. The village Běstovice has a shop, library, church, cemetery and sports ground, there are some historical sights. The first mention of the village comes from 1292.

Dvořisko is a small pretty village situated near the Eagle Mountains in Eastern Bohemia, it is near Choceň and Vysoké Mýto. There are 57 houses here and over 200 people live here.

Kosořín is a small village outside the town Choceň. The first mention of the village can be found in historical sources in 1292. In 2009 Kosořín had 150 inhabitants, 78 men and 72 women. Average age of population was 37 years old.

There are a lot of important monumens. The plague column is 14 m high, the name of Sguare is the Sguare of Přemysl Otakar II. There is the statue of Panna Marie. There are 2 gateways from the square : Pražská, Litomyšlská.

You will find an ice rink, swimming pool, baseball field, tennis courts, a climbing wall in the gym in Choceň. The town consists of seven parts - Březenice, Dvořisko, Choceň, Nová Ves, Plchůvky and Podrážek. There are 1972 houses registered. The first mention of the town dates from 1227. The town lies on both banks of Tichá Orlice, surrounded by hills and forests.

It is natural reserve, the river Tichá Orlice flows there, it is a park in Choceň and many people like walking there. There are a lot of trees and rocks, there is the DOSKOČILOVA outlook. It is a nice place.

It is a very nice place. There grows Tulipánovník, it is a kind of tree – it is very rare. There is a playground with lots of swings. There is also the Art school.. They organize various events there. It´s a nice place to walk.
