For my front cover

Whilst planning my magazine i kept in thought of what i wanted on my front cover, i was struck between a band photo or a single shot. Then i decided to have a band photo for my double page spread due to having more to write about them. I used my sister for my front cover due to how she looks and her uniqueness. I took a variety of pictures with her doing different thing’s such as posing in different rooms and in different positions also with different objects. i am pleased with my final result but needed to do the other photo’s to be sure of my finial shoot.

First shoot

I liked the use of the guitar, but felt the jumper was to dull for the cover and needed something that would stand out. I didn't like the fact she was smiling so tried her looking down and a serious face.

Second shoot

This shoot i found worked more with the jean waistcoat i felt it looked a lot better and went with the whole theme of a ‘Rock Chick’ i also really liked the hair accessory and felt it made difference to her look. I really liked the idea of the guitar behind her head so i did some more shoots like that which steered me to my finial shot.

Final shoot

These was my finial shoot which i tried one more different thing of jess biting the guitar and felt that might be good but then i found that the middle picture looked really good, how she was standing, her facial expression and the way the guitar was being positioned. This all made the shot look as professional as it could.

The shot i used

This is the image i used for my front cover although with some obvious alternations & serious editing, i felt this picture worked the best for so many reasons. If i could change one thing about it i would clean up the guitar and use better lighting but apart from that i feel its a really good picture to use.

What i would of changed

• Tried some more outfits• Different lighting• Shown different objects• Different backgrounds• Experimented with the editing a little more
