Components of a Mouse
The mouse's motion typically translates into the motion of a pointer on a display.
Primary Button (usually the
left button) and the secondary
button (usually the right
button).
Scroll Button – to scroll
through documents and websites.
Components of a keyboard
Left Click and Double Click
Left-clicking – most often used to select (mark) an item or open a menu.
Double-clicking – most often used to open items on your desktop.
Scroll Wheel Scroll – Use to scroll through documents
and webpages.
To scroll down, roll the wheel backward (toward you).
To scroll up, roll the wheel forward (away from you).
Right Click Right-clicking – usually displays a list of
things you can do with the item.
Highlighting and Dragging
Highlighting - Double-click the first or last word you want to highlight and hold down the mouse button on the second click; then just drag the mouse as usual when selecting text.
Dragging – Point to the object on the screen, press and hold the primary button, move the object to a new location, and then release the primary button.
Adjust an Image
Adjust an Image size – Click on the image. Using the button on the image, left click on the button and use the buttons to resize your image.
