Digipak analysis Michael Jackson

This album was released after the death of Michael Jackson. It was made to celebrate all of the music that he was mid-way through creating, but didnt have a chance to release before he died. The images filling Michael Jacksons body are ones from the film that was released along side the album, also called This is it. The title of this album is called This is it which is shown above an image of Michael Jackson with his hands up in the air. This front cover image and title suggests that this is it from Michael Jackson, and that he has given everything he has whilst he was alive.

The back cover of the album again shows Michael, however this time, he is posing in a very famous and well known pose of his, where-by he holds the tip of his hat and points two of his fingers at his audience / the ground. Putting an image of Michael in a very famous pose without showing his face or body and showing other images of him doing what he did best, which was performing, through his body, gives the message that performing and his music was all that he lived for. It shows his audience that if they wanted to look right through him, all they would see was this passion for music.
