Target Audience…

I am aiming to target a mainstream audience. My sub – genre is pop/indie/R&B with influence from Q

magazine.The age range I’m wanting to target is 16 – 25 and it will target both males and females but it will be 75% females and 25%

male. 55% of my audience will be from the ABC1 profile.I will try to accompany all the different styles of music by paying

attention to the colour scheme, layout etc.

My magazine is going to be a

weekly magazine. And will cost around

£2.99.

Id like my magazine to be produced by a

conglomerate company.

Colour Schemes…

The reason I chose these colours, is because the colour teal is seen as emotionally healing, protective and unique. Unique is the word that stands out to me because that’s what I want my magazine to be seen as. And the colour red is seen as exciting, joyful, powerful and energizing. Which is a good combination of the colours and the black makes them both stand out.

Name and font ideas…

Ellie is 17, she is fuelled by music and partying. She loves to listen to a mixture of music including Indie, pop, dance music etc.

She always has her music on all day and when she has not got she is socialising with

friends and catching up on her favourite television programmes skins and Hollyoaks.

She likes to dress original with bright colours, and experiments with her hair a lot! Ellie’s likes to think people appreciates her dress sense as she tried to be different. She also loves to visit the V Festival each year and has a mad obsession with Starbucks. She lives in her converse and plays on her Xbox in her spare time as she is a college

student studying art and design and spends a lot of time tweeting and on Facebook. She listens to bands such as the Arctic monkeys,

Lady Gaga, Avicii, Ed Sheeran etc.

Audience profile.

Main cover image

I'm using my friend as my model for my main cover image, and using her as an ‘indie’ artist. The shot type I will want to

use is either a medium close up or a close up.

I would like to re-create this image for my front cover.

I have designed my masthead on Photoshop and used different fonts for each letter to make it stand out and be unique… Obviously I will be having a barcode on my

magazine, and have a link to my ‘’website’’ which will show I cross promote my brand using the method of synergy.

I also want a banner on my main cover to show that inside there will be an interview with my artist ‘Elle’ with a quote from her interview!

My model…

Ill be using my best friend as my model, she fits the sub – genre of my magazine well.

She will be an artist ‘Elle’ who creates indie/pop music. And I will be interviewing her about her new album release!

These are just some photos we have come up with for the front cover images, I have lots more of different shot types as well as these.

Ideas for contents…

On my contents page I am looking to base my inspiration from these Images I am wanting a picture that takes most of the page up. The shot type will be a mid shot. With my contents around the image or by the side.

Possible contents feature's…• News – Which would include news on new

artists/bands or album releases.• YOUR SOUNDS – is an idea I came up with

where people who have their own bands (to fit my sub – genre) or a wanting themselves to be heard can advertise themselves in this

article with information about them and where readers can hear their music etc.

• I will want to advertise products such as RIMMEL makeup, a phone network such as ‘3’ and clothes brands such as Top shop/Top

man.

I would want to re – create my contents page like this example from Q magazine.

Ideas for splash article…

These are some examples of what I want my double page spread to be presented as, I would like my image to be fairy large, or have a large image then small ones around it to make it look more interesting to readers.

A review on ‘Elle’ as an artist on the whole: albums made, press stories, her lifestyle etc.

An interview with ‘Elle’ about her life as an artist and her background in life.
