Why have you chosen your production company logo?Our production company logo consists of a red moon with a magnifying glass which magnifies a fingerprint with the name of the film production in bold writing below. I’ve chosen this logo because it really fits the genre of the film opening because it consists of the generic conventions of a thriller. For example, the red moon symbolises an unnatural occurrence associating with bad omens which is the usual in the mystery thriller genre.

What is a production company? What do they do?A production company is/helps the budgeting, scheduling, scripting, casting and other essentials needed to create a film. They look over the film from start to finish. they have an obligation to find the director and the actors however, they have a burden if anything were to go wrong on the film for instance when an actor gets injured on set or if any property gets damaged.

what is the job of a film distributor?The job of a film distributor is to send the film out for audiences to watch around the world. To distribute the film they have to first promote the film and them decide when and where the film would be presenting.

which film distributer would you choose for your film and why? what other films have they distributed that are similar to yours?

The film distributer I would choose would be ‘Paramount pictures’ as they are well known especially since they are part of the ‘Big Six’ major film production company and film distributor which will help in promoting and distributing our film. It would be the most suitable film distributor because they have produced and distributed some of the most famous thrillers such as ‘Psycho’, ‘Vertigo’, ‘Mission impossible’.

how would your film be funded? lottery?I would appreciate it if the national lottery Uk film council funded our film as they are uk based it would be the most suitable, but also we wouldn’t have to worry about any financial problems. The UKFC help to develop and promote the filming industry of the uk so this means that they will help distribute our film in the uk.

title- why do you need them? how have you presented them?We need the titles because it’s an essential part of every film opening. the audience must acknowledge the important roles so, i’ve made sure that the titles are shown long enough for the audience to read, but also with a reasonable font and size. in my film opening the titles fade in and out where they are in capital letters with the arial font making it easier to read. Also, the colours used are only black and white making it visible with any background helping the audience see and understand the titles.
