Medical Science

The application of mathematics in the field of science has been in place since times immemorial. However, its actual importance and applicability in medical sciences has become more visible in today's world. Today, the concepts and theories of mathematics are being applied to almost all aspects of medical sciences.

Gregor Johann Mendel is known as the "father of modern genetics.Mendel used mathematics to revealthe basic laws of heredity. His laws initiated the modern science of genetics. His approach of using mathematics to explain biological phenomena was totally new and unacceptable to many of the biologists of his time and thus was not accepted at that time.

The study of mathematics is needed to understand concepts such as

concentration/dilution, calibration, molarity, molality, solution preparation, serial dilution,

radioactive decay and decomposition, absorption, and cell growth, among others. In clinical research, the understanding of DNA, thumb impressions, and markups,

among others is also carried out based on the study

of mathematics.

Applying of mathematics to biology has a long history, but only recently has there

been an explosion of interest
