down into its element.

Procedure-- Temperature- 75˚C

-Mixing- 30-40 rpm

Page 14: Lupin summer training report, Ankleshwar

Filtration

Centrifuge FilterPolypropylene cloth used as separation

medium.

WHAT HAPPENED?- Soli and Liquid material are separated out.

Procedure-- Slurry feed in centrifuge at- 150 rpm

- After feeding/charging- 1500 rpm

- Filtrate contains 20-24% tartaric acid & collected in a vessel.

- By product CASO4 is collected from bottom chute of centrifuge.

Page 15: Lupin summer training report, Ankleshwar

Evaporation

MSRL (Mile steel Reactor Liqor)

WHAT HAPPENED?- Water vapor is vaporizes by the heat or steam at low pressure to remove 70% of water from slurry.

Procedure-- Pressure- 0.5 to 3.5 kg/cm2

- Boiler steam pass through shell side & liquid pass through the tube side.

-Gravity reaches at 1.47, evaporator stopped.

Page 16: Lupin summer training report, Ankleshwar

Crystallization

Crystallizer

WHAT HAPPENED?- Process of solidification. Mother liqor coverts into solid crystals at low temperature.

Procedure--ML passed in crystallizer through pipelines.

- Cool water passed into the coils.

- Temperature- From 85˚C to 40˚C

- Rotation- 20-40 rpm

Page 17: Lupin summer training report, Ankleshwar

Filtration

Centrifuge

WHAT HAPPENED?- Solid tartaric acid is separated & liquid ML squeezed out from filter basket.

Procedure-- Slurry charged at 500 rpm.

- Rotation at 1500 rpm.

- Solid particles of tartaric acid gather at filter

cloth.

Page 18: Lupin summer training report, Ankleshwar

Company should modify their HR & welfare policy

that all employees can understand easily.

The quality of food did not satisfy the employees so

they should modify their canteen facility.

The level of security checking is so high at Lupin so

security policy should modify at some particular

level so that outsiders & company employees can

not be harassed.

Page 52: Lupin summer training report, Ankleshwar

*Limitations

At Lupin, Ankleshwar plant there’re so many

restrictions & protocols due to security & privacy

reasons, I did not get the permission to go in every

area of Lupin Plant.

Many employees did not respond for the survey

due to fear of HR department.

Due to the work load of employees they take so

much time to feel the survey form.
