The New Inner Wheel will have, so many souls, converging into a single, large,

shared membership.The ways are many, different,

complementary, all important to design and characterize the Inner Wheel of the XXI

century.One of these ways implies collaboration

and participation in Institutional Representative Bodies, where possible, of

the geographical areas concerned.

The construction of European identity cannot be separated from the empowerment of women. The challenge of defining new models of relationship between culture and society cannot be faced and overcome, without the courage of women.

The EU’s Culture program (2007-2013) has a budget of € 400 million for projects and initiatives to celebrate Europe’s cultural diversity and enhance our shared cultural heritage through the development of cross-border co-operation between cultural operators and institutions.

Culture program: a serious cultural investment

Two UNITS within the European Commission's DG Education and Culture are concerned with culture.

The "Culture Program and actions” UNIT is responsible for the definition, implementation and monitoring of the Culture Program and other Community actions in the cultural field.

The “Culture policy and intercultural dialogue” UNIT deals with policy-related aspects in the cultural field and intercultural dialogue.

The Culture Programme is supporting prizesin cultural heritage, architecture, literature and music.

The objective of these EU prizes is to highlight the excellent quality and success of European activities in many sectors.

The prizes put the spotlight on artists, music groups, architects, authors and those working in the field of cultural heritage and on their work.

In doing so they showcase Europe's rich cultural diversity and the importance of intercultural dialogue and cross border cultural activities in Europe and beyond.

On 20 and 21 October, the European Culture Forum will bring to Brussels 800 participants from culture civil society, the EU Member States and EU institutions.

This flagship event is a unique opportunity to debate and raise the profile of European cooperation in the field of culture, bringing together both policy-makers and stakeholders from the sector from all over Europe and partner countries.

WHAT, THEN, THE ROLE OF INNER WHEEL?

To be THERE, as Inner Wheel Women, we must KNOW the activities, programs, projects,

the progress made by European Union for Women in all the fields

TO KNOW FOR ACTING

INNER WHEEL AS …

IW, as a channel of knowledge, information, dissemination.

IW, as a possibility to SHARE a program or project.

IW, as a possibility to BUILD a program or project, through a single club, more Clubs, and beyond.

1. To give visibility to women's individual and collective role in the European construction.
