Continuous exam preparation courses at the school for FCE and CAE.
All of our senior teachers and Academic Director are both teachers and examiners for FCE/CAE/IELTS so have many years experience of the exams.
Our intensive FCE, CAE and BEC programmes, run 4 to 6 times per year notably for the KV schools in Lenzburg and Zurich, so we are very familiar with the needs and expectations of Swiss students.
Our intensive programmes are not set ‘off-the-shelf” programmes , but we work with your teachers to design and structure the programme.
We also work to put students into groups according to their needs and also their strengths and weaknesses.

Intensive FCE Programmes at LTC Brighton
56 lessons/42 hours of tuition in two weeks, plus homework = equivalent to 1 academic year of English in Switzerland.
Address traditionally weaker skills – e.g. writing which students find difficult. We give 3+ writing tasks per week and look at all the different question types in FCE exams. Writing is 20% of marks and the longest part of the exam.
We run a workshops on the oral exam based on the experience of our examiners.
We have some exam practice in-class – but we consider too much exam practice to be as waste of class time. Class time is better used for to improve your skills and understanding of the exam.

Exit test to look at progress and to identify and report strengths and weaknesses back to Switzerland and motivate you!
We run assisted homework clubs after class so you can get that done and then enjoy yourself.
The immersion in an English speaking environment means that learning continues outside the classroom.
