let me know it's OK. And encourage me to try again. Let me

know you love me. With a hug. Or a pat on the back, or when I

need it, with a firm but gentle "no." Let me be. Let me change

Even at you. And let me know that even on my worst days, you

still like me. Let me dream. Share my joy when my dreams come

true. Share my tears when they don't. Let me feel secure in my

home. Help me realize that love is always there … that I can

• Love Our Children USA is the leading national nonprofit and „Go-To‟ prevention organization fighting all forms of violence and neglect against children in the U.S.

• Since 1999, Love Our Children USA has broken ground in preventing violence against children and eliminating behaviors that keep them from reaching their full potential. Love Our Children USA teaches effective parenting solutions and fosters kid success by creating valuable programs that empower positive changes in parenting and family attitudes, bullying and cyber bullying prevention, Internet safety and school violence prevention through public education. The goal of Love Our Children USA is keeping children safe and strengthening families.

• I love children and I love seeing them happy. I want to be a pre-school teacher or 4th grade teacher and I want to see them happy and not suffering. I wouldn’t like to hear about them going through abuse in their homes. They shouldn’t be confound, to be confused, on why they go through that and other children don’t. I hope that this abusing ends or the ones going through it to get help to stop this.

• Since 1999 more than one million copies of positive parenting and child-safety publications have been sent out in order to stop

and eliminate violence against children.

• To eliminate or prevent violence/neglect against

children in the United states is what their main goal is.

• They provide many programs in order to do this and to aggrandize awareness.

• There are many programs we offer. One of

these program is Public Education and

Community Awareness.

• This is a program that helps out the community

get informed about fighting to end violence

against children.

• There are seminars that are dichotomous, for

both parents and children.

- Community outreach

- Parenting Seminars

- Seminars for kids and teens

- During these activities we have a great disposition because we want the community to feel that they can trust us and get a good vibe from us.

• Many can participate in this program and many get help.

• The ones that come and want any kind of help they are given that help and its explicated to them what they will have to do.

• Also the ones that really want help then they are recommended classes they can go to, to help themselves.

• There are many stories in our website of families who have received help

from us.

Here is one: “A father of a 3 year old Texas girl called us because he noticed that his daughter

was afraid to go near her mother and subsequently noticed red handprints on her bottom. He

didn’t know what to do. In speaking with him we learned that his wife had been abused when

she was a child and was now continuing the cycle. After sending the wife information, we

spoke with the couple on the phone . Like most abusers she was in denial. We explained that

she was continuing the cycle which she hadn't even realized and discussed the consequences

of what could happen if she were to continue with this type of parenting. We arranged for her

to receive parenting classes in her town and for she and her husband to attend family therapy

sessions. Since she began these programs she has not only has not spanked or screamed at her

daughter, but has begun creating a loving home situation where her daughter reaches out to

her more readily.”

• The families that come to us get the help they need.

• They communicate with us and let us know how they’re doing.

“In the next minute a child will be a victim

of violence or neglect.”

• Over 3 million children are victims of violence and neglect

every year. (The ones reported)

• The number of children being hurt and that is not reported is

three times greater

• Almost five children die everyday due to violence

This foundation provides a program called Public Education and Community awareness that offer many things.

They offer:

• prevention strategies

• information and resources to parents, child caregivers, children, teens and to the general public.

• over 1600 pages of Web resources for parents and children, as well as individual assistance to those at-risk or who are in need

• Community outreach

• Parenting Seminars

• Seminars for kids and teens

Critical Action

• This is more critical action because it is taking action to fight and end abuse/neglect against children.

• To make a difference in the world by reaching out to communities and getting them informed.

• This foundation offers many programs and these programs offer many activities/lectures

• It does many things in order to help families going through to this or to prevent this by talking to them

Critical Thinking

• Critical thinking comes to play as well because it

talks to parents.

• If there are parents who are reacting violently with

their child they are the ones who are recommended to

classes to control themselves and these classes it gets

them to think before they act.

• To make better choices on how to react with their

children when they do something they shouldn’t have
