WHAT ARE LOCATIONS SHOTS & REECES?• A location shot is an image of a possible filming location

• The reece is then used to analyse the locations advantages and disadvantages

FIELD

For the scenes of the girl running, I plan to use a large open field.

Advantages:

• Large space

• Well-lit

• The sun can set the time

Disadvantages:

• Often busy

• Houses/ buildings in the background may distract from the image

• Weather (difficult to film in rain, snow, etc.)

HOUSE

For the scenes of the two main characters getting ready I plan to use 2 different houses.

Advantages:

• Both homely

• Well-lit

Disadvantages:

• The houses have occupants

• Narrow spaces

• May not suit the characters style

ROOF OF CAR PARK (TO FILM AERIALS)

For the aerial shots I plan to film from the roof of a car park.

Advantages:

• Good view & Height

• Large open space to film

• Allows plenty of light

Disadvantages:

• Can be busy

• May need permission

• Can be unsafe
