Line Investigation- Criteria & Objective• Students will make all horizontal, vertical, diagonal, and circular lines to

investigate their potential in clusters, arrangements, and as they intersect.• Students will use pen or pencil for their sketches on a divided sheet of 12x18

in. sheet of paper and create one final composition in pen on a sheet of 9x12 in. sheet of paper with a 1 in. border.

• Students will make a sketch following each of the rule sets below.– Begin to sketch using only horizontal lines. (lines cannot touch). – Begin to sketch ideas using vertical lines. (lines cannot touch). – Begin to sketch ideas using both vertical lines and horizontal lines (lines may intersect). – Begin to sketch ideas using diagonal, vertical, and horizontal lines (lines may intersect). – Begin to sketch ideas using a circular template (lines may intersect). – Begin to sketch ideas using all four methods (lines may intersect). – Final (create one final images using your most successful sketch as a source of
