MAKE SHARING NORMALOBSERVE: Ask yourself what you should be looking for or seeing as students learn, and record particular occurrences that you may want to reference, either within the lesson or later in the day.

SHOW ME ACTIVITIES: Ask students to show you what they are thinking and doing to demonstrate and indicate what understanding is forming in their minds during the lesson.GET THE HONEST THUMBS UP: Have the students face you, with a hand over their hearts, and show the teacher a thumbs up (Ive got it!), or thumbs down (I dont get it!), or middle thumb (I need help!). Its a simple way to look into the classroom and see who to check in with during independent time. With students facing you, they feel safe enough to admit their honest opinion, without peer judgement.

A teacher might use this report is in lesson planning - they can look at this report to gain insight into where each student is and then take action by creating learning groups or pulling a student aside for more 1:1 instruction.
