Passage #3
This passage is taken from Shakespeare’s Macbeth. In this play,
Macbeth murders the king with the help of his wife, Lady
Macbeth. The following passage occurs when Macbeth is
grieving his wife‘s death.
To the last syllable of recorded time,
And all our yesterdays have lighted
fools
The way to dusty death.
Passage #3
To-morrow, and to-morrow, and to-
morrow,
Creeps in this petty pace from day to
day
Out, out,
brief candle!Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage
And then is heard no more.
Act V, Scene V
