Welcome!
We come from the South of France from a Region called PACA in the department of The Var between two large towns Marseilles the second largest town in France and Toulon the big military harbour.
From the Old BeaussetSeen from the hill le Beausset which means village at the top of the hill appears like a delightful little provençal village among the olive trees, the cypresses and the vineyards. The population is about 9,300 inhabitants.
The village of Le BeaussetHere are some views of the center of the village with the townhall where you can read the French Motto: Freedom – Equality – Brotherhood..
La Provence wouldn’t be La Provence without the songs of the cicadas in the olive trees and the pine trees that invite you to have a good nap in the afternoon…

Jean Giono Comprehensive schoolThe name of our school is Jean Giono after the famous provencal novelist Jean Giono. It’s a mixed comprehensive. There are 660 pupils and over 40 teachers.

Art and Musicrooms
Exhibitions and open evenings We are keen on opening the school to the parents and we regularly organize open evenings. It’s a good opportunity to show to the parents their children’s productions and commitments in the various projects of the school.
Lessons start at 8:30 AM and finish at 12:30 PM. They go to the cafeteria and help themselves with a 3 main course meal and then they eat in the school-canteen with their classmates.

We feel concerned about the African continent and we’ve been involved in a Solidarity project with a school in Burkina Faso for several years now.
Some lovely Mediterranean creeksWhen the week-end comes we are so lucky to be able to dive into the turquoise water of the creeks of Cassis. It’s a real paradise!
