George Washington was a farmer and a leader of soldiers.

His nickname was “Honest Abe.”

He was born in a log cabin. Although very poor, he taught

himself to read and became a lawyer before being president.

Pocahontas was an American Indian girl who was a helper and a friend to the settlers in Jamestown.
