Someone needs encouragement And gentle words of cheer.

Jemand braucht Ermutigung, Ein Wort, zu lindern Schmerz.

Someone needs your helping hand, A letter—or what’s more,

Jemand braucht heut deinen Gruß, Dein Beistand tut so gut!

Someone needs your cheerfulness To make their spirits soar.

Jemand braucht dein Heitersein, Es macht ihn frohgemut.

Someone needs affection When they are feeling blue.

Jemand braucht heut Zärtlichkeit, Gleich besser fühlt er sich!

Listen, someone’s calling— For a special friend like you.

Hörst du? Jemand ruft nach dir – Er braucht 'nen Freund wie dich!
