Formed in 2006.Initial aim was to provide social and cultural
activities for QMUL students.Also to get together with other societies’
students who would like to create a network with Turkish students.

Our Mission Statement
• To become a role model society which constantly provides useful and informative seminars, enjoyable events and activities, and high quality personal and academic support to its members at Queen Mary University of London.
Objectives of the SocietyAiming to unite Turkish students studying at
Queen Mary (common identity, so an opportunity to us both for today and tomorrow).
Representing our culture, values and the language to other students who are willing to learn (creating Positive Image).
Providing academic support and advice to those who are having difficulties.
And the most importantly; to have fun in our events and activities while studying.

• Went to watch some Turkish movies such as:• - Kurtlar Vadisi Filistin (Valley of the
Wolves Palestine)• - Hur Adam• Organised dinner and shisha nights• Ice skating• Breakfast and dinner meetings• Did film screening nights in Frances Building
Selection of the Officers
President: Represents the society. Sets targets and leads the society in a particular direction. Guides and controls the activities in accordance with its general policy as expressed by the majority of its members. Will be in general meetings and will be responsible for chairing the seminars.
Skills Required: Leadership, decision making, responsible, committed, motivated.
Selection of the Officers
Treasurer: Will be responsible for the collection and disbursement of monies belonging to the society and will keep proper accounting records of all such transactions. Will present to the members a balance sheet and income and expenditure account when needed.Skills Required: Good money handler and numerical skills.
Vice President: Will be in charge when the president is unavailable. Will help the president and fulfil the commands given by the president.

Suggested Future Strategies
• Have a look at the previous events and organise similar ones.
• Listen to ex officers and get some advice from them. Take their experiences for granted.
• Have a look at the local newspapers and keep an eye on local events.
• Do brainstorming sessions and see what sort of ideas will crop up.
• Even small activities will do (just organise).
• Improve your skills throughout these events.
