OUR JOB

TARGET AUDIENCE

Students• As the ultimate target, we need to sway students to join our class so it

continues grow.

Parents• Parents can have a huge influence on the classes students take, so we

want to make them aware that this can be a great opportunity for their child.

Teachers/Counselors• Right now CAPS is taking students away from their home high schools,

which is leaving some classrooms with less students. Some teachers are unhappy with this, and we need to convince them that CAPS is a positive thing for the BV school distrcit.

• We need to let counselors know more about the CAPS program so they can also encourage it to students.

COMPETITOR RESEARCH

We’re going to look into why students are taking the classes they are now at CAPS, how they heard about it, and what they think about Interactive Design. We also plan on researching parents and teachers opinions on the CAPS program as a whole.

11Bryce H i ckson & Sydney Lenz

Page 12: Interactive Design Campaign Powerpoint

OUR PLAN

• We plan to being all these ideas to life and start bringing Interactive Design to people outside of the CAPS building.• We are going to take it all step by step:• First starting with the social media and website

aspect.• Then creating physical flyers or events to draw

attention to our class.• Finally this will bring in more students who will want

to take this class, along with becoming better acquainted with our community. (Including adults and teachers.)

WHAT WE’RE DOING TO GET STARTED

•We’ve already started with the following:• Making a Twitter account for the class.• Sketching out designs for the website layout.• Sketching out designs for flyers.• Helping reword the Interactive Design brochure and

soon to redo the whole design.• Brainstorming ideas for styles and themes for the

campaign.
