example of Morocco: idem in Tunisia: 328,000 USD Regional project in America Latina: Ecuador, Peru, Costa Rica, Chili, Argentina, Brasil = 487,000USD in the framework of Technical Cooperation programme TCP philosophy of these funds The Technical Cooperation Programme (TCP) supports the FAO Member Nations through small projects which address specific problems in the agriculture, fisheries and forestry sectors. The aim of a TCP project is to produce tangible and immediate results in the battle against hunger and to catalyse long-term changes. The Programme aims to provide FAO’s technical expertise to its Member countries through targeted, short term, catalytic projects. These projects address technical problems in the field of agriculture, fisheries, forestry and rural livelihood that prevent Member countries, either individually or collectively, from implementing their development programmes. other funds : trust fund, example in Africa Finalization of legislative texts Capacity building : administrative, national commission, control/certification staffs Guidelines and consumers information Pilot cases : Béni Guil Lamb, Dattes of Errachidia, Olive Oil Tyout Chiadma -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Capacity-building for practitioners, facilitators and producers on : sustainable agricultural practices, improvement of processing, marketing, labels and controls Identification and setting up of marketing connections Support to the producers organization Support to the elaboration of CoP and plan of control
