WHY PATRIOTISM?•Patriotism is a feeling that needs to be exhibited in all our actions .• We feel, but don’t act.’- A student •Traffic Change? … “At the most, we can request Mam..”•A brainstorming session about the possibility of implementation of solutions led us to the process of eliminations considering cost, time, effort and we narrowed on Patriotism

The Staff, Students, General Public, The nation as a Whole ….

“ Patriotism is not to be restricted to Celebrations Discussions and Speeches alone. … Class VII Students

Our Nation is still weak. Patriotism should be integrated into our daily life _Class VI students

Improper Street Lightings- ‘It is a lone stretch, Very scary to go alone in the evening- Teachers

How long it takes for us to reach school because of traffic!!!- Parent, Counsellors

Bus, free milna chahiye!!!- A section of the 8th Class students

IMAGINE---- HOW PATRIOTISM? 2 SUB ACTIVITIES

ONE PRODUCT- ONE MONTH : Promote awareness to improve Consumerism towards Indian products instead of Foreign products …. Help Revenue Generation in India by substituting one foreign product with an Indian product every month Promote awareness among Shopkeepers to store more Indian Products in the neighbourhood store.

AKSHAYA PAATRA INITIATIVE- Help remove inequality in the Society, especially among children … by making the rich empathetic to the needs of poor. Tie up with 2 local NGO s for donations .. Intense Campaining by students in School to donate rice, dal, old clothes for a week. Collect and donate it to the children …

There will be separate containers with Labels "RICE” “CEREALS” kept in the class rooms.People willing to make these donations are requested to bring a handful of each item/any item every day for a week and put it into the respective containers. At the end the week, the donations are distributed to the needy

Collection at Senior School level:

One handful of rice = 150gms 22 Students in a class=

3300gms 4 sections in a

year=3300*4=13200gms Secondary school(6-

12)=13200*7=92400gms = 92.4kg

Collection at Junior school level: Class(1-5)=

13200*5=66000gms=66kgTotal rice donated: 158.4 Kg

Collected rice can serve – 1056 people@150 gms/person/meal
