The top screenshot is from my own trailer. It is a location shot from the beginning of the trailer.

The second screenshot is from the trailer for This Is England, and as you can see it is another location shot.

Location shots are effective as they give the viewer a sense of where the trailer is based.

• The top screenshot is from my own trailer, the bottom is from “Somers Town”. I included this inter title as films of this particular genre regularly try to create interest by mentioning previously successful films by the director.

• Although my inter title doesn’t have a background image, the two screenshots share connotations meaning my trailer is following this typical convention.

• The top screenshot has been taken from my own trailer, and the bottom from the trailer of “Somers Town”. The including of film competitions and awards won is usually featured in order to create an interest within the audience.

The top screen shot is from own trailer. This is the part of the trailer I have used the most editing on my footage. The botton screenshot is from the trailer for This Is England, which also features similar editing techniques. I think this effect works extremely well, especially with the black and white filters used, resulting in a montage effect.

The top screenshot is from my own trailer, and the bottom is from the trailer for Somers Town. I chose these two screenshots as the both show the emotion of the main characters face. Through showing the serious emotions through the characters in the trailer, it sets up the viewers for what kind of film the trailer is for.

The top screenshot is from my own trailer. The text is fairly simple of the title, using simply colours. The bottom screen shot is from the trailer for “Harry Brown” which is a drama, with a similar backdrop to my own storyline. The font used within this inter title featuring the title of the film is plain, however there is more colour featured.The font for both film is fairly simple, however the intertitleused in Harry Brown featured more editing and colour.
