Do I Need to Set up a Business Right Away?

● You may not need to set up a formal business structure like an sole proprietorship or corporation right away, unless you really feel the need to.

● You can freelance under your own name and declare the extra income you make on your taxes as self employment income. Check with your local tax authority or your accountant.

● You do want to keep track of your freelancing expenses and purchases.

● Many jurisdictions have a threshold at which you need to collect taxes, so check your local area and see if this applies.

Getting the Sucking out of the Way

● Let's be honest, your very first App is most likely not going to be a masterpiece and that's ok.

● You ideally want to have at least 1 sample App you've made to show potential clients.

● You can create your first App on your own and it doesn't really mater if you were paid to do it or not.

● Maybe you already have an idea for an App or know friends or family that do. You are most likely going to loose you shirt on your very first App, so just grin an bare it.

● Facebook and Linkedin accounts are useful.

● You'll want to have a specific email address people can contact you that you use strictly for business.
