Used for
• Direct application
• Indirect application
Description
• Alternating, oscillating, high frequency, higher in voltage with lower amps. Alternates rapidly at more than 50 times per second.
• Produces a frequency of 100,000-250,000 Hertz.
Keywords
• Alternating current – or AC, the electrical current is alternating directions in a repetitive pattern
• Oscillating – a current alternating in direction
• Frequency – the amount of times the AC makes a circuit per second
• Voltage – The pressure required to drive the electricity around the circuit
• Amps – the flow of electrons in a circuit per second
The current flows
through the clients body
using the therapists
hands to perform
massage which
conducts the current.
The client holds the
saturator electrode to
complete the circuit.
Used for DRY skin
Application is directly
onto the skin using a
glass electrode
A drying germicidal
treatment, ideal for a
seborrhoeic skin, one
that is congested and
oily.

Warms and relaxes the tissue
Increases the circulation
Calms the sensory nerve endings
Improves the moisture balance of the skin
Increases metabolism
Improves tired skin
Improves dry or dehydrated skin
Improves fine lines
Helps relax the tissues
Helps improve poor circulation
Be careful around the hairline – hair is a good conductor
Contact must not be broken
Rings must not be worn by the client holding the saturator
Do not touch any metal throughout the treatment
Intensity will be increased if one hand is lifted off
ALL facial jewellery on client to be removed
Helps heal a problem scalp
Helps destroy any bacteria present through
the creation of ozone
Helps dry out the secretions of oily skin
Improves the condition of oil areas
Increases cellular activity
Improves the skin texture
Improves the moisture balance of the skin
Helps healing after comedone extraction
Calms the sensory nerve endings
Oxygen intake to the skin is increased when oxygenating cream is used
Can be used on the scalp for dandruff
Produces ozone which has an anti-bacterial effect
Use gauze to hold the product in place
Always use eye pads
Cut out a nose hole
Keep the glass electrode to the skin, any
break in contact can cause sparking
Always follow manufacturers instructions
