Overview of Proposed Mentoring Arrangements

Liaison with SALT regarding staff changing deadlines and/or between SFHEA and FHEA

Mentors provides dates in line with central support sessions.Hold at least 2 meetings/interactions prior to the application

deadline. Provides Group guidance and support (AF/FHEA. SFHEA may

meet individually)

1 mentor identified from each College for each application deadline for AF/FHEA and SFHEA

How this might work in practice - SFHEA

• SALT will pass on list of people to allocated College mentor to be in touch with.

Applicant identifies deadline

• Mentor contacts mentees and asks to asks for Case Study Topics to be identified. May refer to Fellows ‘programme’ at this point

Mentor arranges initial meeting

• Session or deadline dates to be identified (2 possible options for each of the 2 sessions/interactions)

Mentor arranges 2 sessions approx 1 month

apart

• Review of Reflective AccountSession /Interaction 1

• Review of Case StudiesSession/Interaction 2

• Final draft to mentor at least 2 weeks prior to deadline Final review
