Step 1 Step 1 –– CT PATIENT SCANCT PATIENT SCAN
Send the patient to the radiological centerwith radiographic guide if necessary (dual scan protocol)

DICOM image must be a DCM standard file “.dcm”, or no file extension, but not others like bmp, jpg files
Step 2 Step 2 –– Sending data to the project Sending data to the project processing center (GuideMia)processing center (GuideMia)
1. Patient CT scan (.dcm format)
2. Additional data to design a surgical guide:
Patient Intra-oral scan Patient Intra-oral scan
3D optical scan of plaster model or other materials
CT scan of Radiographic Guide derived from prosthetic design

The impression must be taken in silicone or polyether, with materials with dimensional stability.
NB: The Optical Scan protoco, is not a choice if:
there are many metal components (crowns o bridges, metal fillings etc.
the numbers of remaining teeth is low (3 or fewer)
In this cases we have to do the Radiographic Guide.
The Radioggraphic Guide is made with orthodontic resin or similarmaterials with special landmarks (guttaperca , marker, glass beads, etc) positioned inside or outside.
3 –CT scan of radiographic guide derived from prosthetic design
It’s possible to use patient prosthesis, added spherical landmarks of guttaperca, with diameter smaller than 1,5mm.
Prosthesis must have an adequate fitting.
