The plane trails in the top of the middle third of the poster going through a cloud are representational of heart break.

The slumped, sad expression of the lone person in the background representational of lost love.

The black clothing of Russell Brand's character looks out of place compared to the brightly coloured clothing of everyone else, suggesting that he doesn't belong with either of the other characters on the poster.

The light blue colour of the titles suggests the film is light

hearted. The colour of the dress is suggestive of jealousy

and envy.

The the colour of the sand and water as well as the sunny weather implies this is a tropical location such as Hawaii and due to the pale skin of the characters this would suggest these characters are here on holiday or at leisure.

The skin tight dress of the female character implies she is quite provocative and an ‘object’ of desire.

The tag line suggests this film will have elements of comedy and will be light hearted.

‘From the guys that brought you’- this reinforces comedy due to the casual mode of address as well as the other films being comedies.
