How he worked
Satya:
Satya means truth and Gandhi believed that it was important to show it in what you do. He said “THERE IS NO GOD HIGHER THAN TRUTH”
Ahisma:
Ahisma is non-violence and showed this in what he did. He quoted “There are many causes that I am prepared to die for but none I am prepared to kill.” This shows up in many religions too.
What he believed in
Brahmacharya:
Brahmacharya means self-disipline. Gandhi saw this as means of becoming close to his god and as a primary foundation for self-relization.
Aparigraha:
Aparigaha means non-possession andthat we should have only what we need and quotes “The less you have, the less you will want, the better you are.”
What he believed in
Equality:
Equality is that everyone should be treated the same way and Gandhi was outraged when he knew that his people were being unfairly treated.
Swadeshi:
Swadeshi is to buy locally made goods and Gandhi always did this to support his own country as India was looked down on especially for their skin colour.
What he believed in
Pictures of Gandhi
Gandhi was non-violent, loving and caring for others
Everything he did was also done in truth
Young and old, he never stopped preaching to others in what he believed.
Gaining knowledge by reading books and studying holy books of religions
He was very humble and only wore cheap cloth from India
In everything Gandhi did, he did it in truth, peace, care and harmony in a non-violent way. He persisted to the end and never gave up. All of his quotes are statements of truth and knowledge. This is why so many people acknowledged and respected him. At his death bed, thousands of people from India crowded around, sad to see him dead. Now, even so many years after his death, Gandhi is still a inspiration for many people.
