A beat in music is the steady pulse in. You can tap the beat with your hands against your legs, clap, or tap your toes to keep a steady rhythm.

The rhythm of a song is the way the words go. Any easy way to think of rhythm is to think of how the song flows and sounds to you.

4Chapter 4: Solfege

Solfege is a scale in music that gives short names to different notes, or sounds. The scale also has hand signs, and is used as a warm-up in singing and playing instruments.
