INTRODUCTION

This proposal will discuss about the cleanliness practice among food

provider in UTHM residential colleges.

There are three residential colleges.

Both Tun Fatimah and Tun Dr Ismail residential college have two

cafeterias

Tun Syed Nasir has only one cafeteria

These cafeterias are the main choice for most students and staffs to eat.

That is why the cleanliness of these cafeteria is very important.

These cafeterias open daily including holidays so that it is easier for

students to find food.

RELATED PROBLEMS

Neglectful of food provider on cleanliness in UTHM

residential college.

It is found that there is not much effort from the food

operators to clean the area of the cafeteria which indicates

the neglectful on the cleanliness of the cafeteria and its

effect to the resident of UTHM

There are effects on the student and also staff of UTHM

Due to the cleanliness of the UTHM residential cafeteria, the

food operators may causes the consumers to be sick. Also,

pest such as flies and cockroach is investing the residential

area

OBJECTIVES

To identify the cases affected by the food cleanliness

practice.

The gathering of data involving the issue of food cleanliness

practice in UTHM cafeteria for further analysis

To find the source of the food cleanliness problems.

To investigate the factors that contribute to the food

cleanliness problem by analysing the data obtain from

observation and others methodology.

To recommend solution to the problems.

After identifying the cause of the problem faced by the

UTHM residential cafeteria, some ideas to overcome the

problem will be obtain

RESEARCH QUESTIONS

How serious is the problem of cleanliness of the food?

To know how serious the problem with the food is cleanliness so that

solution with the same level can generate.

What are the causes and effects of cleanliness of the food?

To indicates the causes and the effects of this problem base on

students and staff opinion.

What can be done to minimize or overcome this problem?

To generate raw idea on how to solve the problem, because the

quality of the solution will be much more higher with more ideas

Who should be responsible for these actions?

The main purpose is not to point to anyone, the question is just to

know how should be responsible towards the problem so that it will

be solve easily

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

Saving the time of the student and the staff from going to

outside cafeteria

Findings will help residential college to minimize the

problem and yet by UTHM

UTHM students and staff will have better place to eat

Give a good impression for visitors

CONCLUSIONS

Overview

As a conclusion to this research, the cleanliness of the

University Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) residential

cafeteria can be consider neglected based on the result of

the finding.

RECOMMENDATION

Do a regular check at residential college cafeteria.

Pest control should be done regularly by related department.

Give compound to the cafeteria operator if they not maintained their cafeteria well.

The cafeteria operator should provide enough facility for customer need.

The rating must be check once a month to make sure the current level of cleanliness is tally with the rating.

The university and residential college should do some campaign about the cleanliness issue at residential college cafeteria.
