Program DescriptionProgram Description • A curriculum with a solid foundation in leadership, research,
and the study of current trends and issues. • Menu-driven approach that allows the choice to create a
customized program of study• Students gain expertise in their chosen concentrations and
supplement that area of study with an additional concentration, a minor in another area, or with electives from multiple disciplines.
Program FormatProgram Format
o The program (coursework and dissertation) is designed to be completed in 3 years. However, students have a maximum of seven years to complete the program.
o 66 credit hours.o The required core seminars are offered in a
blended, on-site, cluster-based format.o All concentration and elective (non-research)
courses are offered in an online format, only.o New students admitted three times per year.

o The doctoral studies orientation provides students with an overview of six distinct areas related to doctoral studies:

o This non-credit online orientation is required for all students entering the doctoral program at the Fischler School of Education and Human Services. Students must register for DSO 8000 and complete the course prior to beginning course work. Students will have a maximum of two weeks to complete the orientation.
