Producer and herbivore

One day there was a field of grass next to a barn. One cow was very hungry, so the cow went out into the field of grass and ate some grass.The grass is a producer, a producer is a plant that produces it’s own food using photosynthesis that is when a plant gets it’s own food and nutrients from the sun. The cow is a herbivore, a herbivore only eats plants for food and nutrients.

Carnivore

One day the cow was alone in a field when a wolf came and tackled the cow. The wolf had the cow for dinner that day. A carnivore is an animal that's diet only consists of meat. That is how a carnivore gets its nutrients and energy.

Omnivore

The wolf was walking in the woods when a bear pounced on the wolf. The wolf gave a good fight, but was eaten by the bear. The bear later walked in the woods and helped himself to some berries. An omnivore’s diet consists of meat and plants. That's how an omnivore gets it’s nutrients and energy.

Scavenger

The bear walked along leaving the remains of the wolf on the ground when a vulture swooped down and had the leftovers of the wolf. A scavenger is an animal that only eats dead animals.

DecomposersThen comes a family of beetles walking along. They come and decompose the remains of the wolf.

The Cycle Repeats

Then the remains of the wolf turns into nutrients and goes to the ground. Then sprouts some plants. The cycle then repeats itself.
